I'm still here....

Yes, I am here and still alive and kicking.... for those of you that were worried.... You were worried, RIGHT!?

Let's see, we are all doing fantastic!

Taylor is doing fantastic in school/athletics. She won a gold medal in the 1 mile District (UIL) Track meet and 4th overall. She is FAST!

Cameron's Little Dribbler Basketball team made it to Nationals, but unfortunately thats as far as they got. They won their first game and lost the next two.

Megan is going to be a cheerleader again. We didn't expect anything less. She is awesome!

Sidney made the dance team. GOSH, I sure wish she could teach me how to dance like she does, she is absolutely AWESOME.

Jon and I are better than ever.

Will update more later...

My Army Man!!!

So, this is my nephew. We call him Dubby. Back when Hurricane Ike hit my mom and my nephew came to live with me for a week or so. The county I live in was providing free water and MRE's (Meals ready to eat) to people who were without power or people who were helping people who were displaced. Well, I fell in to that catagory. Also, I work for the county... Anyway, Dub came up to my work one day and volunteer his own time to load the mre's and bottled water in to the vehicles of needy people. While he was here I had talked to the Sargeant (DPS) and asked him to talk to my nephew about the military. Sargeant Scarborough is an Army Reservist. Anyway, one thing led to another. Dub never went back home, he signed up for the Army and went to boot camp. As of this very moment he is home for the Christmas holidays and will return to bootcamp January 2, 2009. I am so proud of my nephew. He is going to break the mold in this family. He is going to get the heck out of here and do something with his life. Better yet, he is going to see parts of the world that I could only ever dream of. All the while serving our country. How could I not be proud of that. I just hope that he realizes how truly proud I am of him. I love you Dub!

MY HERO

It has been a LONG time since I have posted anything on my blog. I figure it's about time for an update. (Not that anyone really misses my boring life anyway...) About the video, Taylor was given an assignment to write (in her English/Writing class). The teacher initially asked the students what a hero was/is. Of course you get the classic comic book characters like superman and spiderman. Then the teacher went further to make the children think harder. She started to describe to them different types of heros that we live with day in and day out such as firemen, policeman, doctors, etc. THEN the assignment was given. Who do YOU consider your hero to be? Taylor wrote about her dad (step-dad) Jon. What an awesome priveledge it is to be considered someones hero! I think she may even understand what he gives up to accept the responsibilites it takes to raise her and her brother. Without hesitation, without thought, he provides for us and took on my "baggage" and has never looked back! I thank you for that, Jon! Words cannot express how honored I am to have a husband and father to my children, to have Jon in our lives. You are truly loved! You are our angel! You are OUR HERO!

July 4th

This picture does not do the firework(s) justice. The kids had lots of fireworks to pop and had a great time doing it. No injuries to report, unless Cameron falling on his rear while he was running backwards counts. Cameron and Taylor blew up ant beds, leaves, a small stuffed animal that came in a Happy Meal from McDonalds and shot a firework through a pipe. They are so silly. I used to be really nervous about them lighting their own fireworks, but they were really good this year. They paid attention and were very carefull. They are growing up so fast.

Because the fourth fell in the middle of the week we were not able to have Megan and Sidney with us. Besides, they are getting older, doing their own thing, and frankly think that Jon and I are just "OLD". Funny isn't it. I am only 32, but they think I am OLD!
Update(s): My foot is healing slowly and the biopsy came back verifying that the multiple knots/lumps were from a ganglion cyst. I am not sure if I am spelling that correctly, but you get it, don't you? As far as the endometrial ablasion, all is healing as expected.
Not much as changed around our house. I guess because Jon and I are old, we just don't get out much! LOL!

Brad is still sending money (or should I say the Attorney General is pulling money out of his check). The money sure does help. The kids are going to some day camps and I got them some play shoes. You know, people just take that stuff for granted, but it is pathetic when you have to budget in things like shoes. So, anyway, I was able to just go and purchase them some play shoes specifically for summer without worrying about how I was going to buy shoes and then pay the water bill too! Every little bit helps. Brad still does not see the kids as much as I think he should. But, he is working at a fast food resturaunt, it's not like he get every weekend off, or even every other weekend. I just have to keep reminding myself of that.

Everyone... take care till my next mumble session!

DR APPOINTMENTS TODAY...

SO, I GO BACK TO THE DOCTOR(S) TODAY. HOPEFULLY I WILL GET THIS BANDAGE AND BOOT OFF OF MY FOOT. I AM SO SICK OF SHOWERING WITH A TRASH BAG TAPED AROUND MY FOOT. CROSS YOUR FINGERS AND SAY A PRAYER THAT THE OBGYN DR GIVE ME A CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH TOO.
AFTER THE DR APPOINTMENTS WE (TAYLOR, CAMERON AND I) ARE GOING TO GO BUY SOME GROCERIES FOR THE ACTIVITIES THIS WEEKEND. WE ARE HAVING A BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR MY DAD. HE IS TURNING 59!!! LOOKING FORWARD TO SPENDING SOME QUALITY TIME WITH HIM AND MY MOM. HOPEFULLY MY NEWPHEWS WILL BE ABLE TO COME DOWN. MOST OF ALL... I HOPE IT DOESNT RAIN SO THE KIDS CAN PLAY OUTSIDE AND WE CAN ENJOY THE DAY WITHOUT BEING STUCK IN THE HOUSE. OH WELL, WHATEVER GOD HAS IN STORE, WE WILL JUST ACCEPT IT AND THANK HIM FOR THE TIME WE HAVE TOGETHER. HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT WEEKEND. TILL NEXT POST...

PENNY THE SHOW PIG

I ALMOST FORGOT. TAYLOR SHOWED HER VERY FIRST PIG THIS YEAR (4-H). HER NAME WAS PENNY. SHE MADE THE SALE, GOT 12TH PLACE AND SOMEONE BOUGHT THE PIG FOR $2000.00. I WAS SO PROUD FOR HER. SHE WAS SO NERVOUS, BUT HANDLED HERSELF VERY MATURELY. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH HER PERFORMANCE!!!! YEAH FOR TAYLOR!!!!

WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE...

So, it's been a while. Obviously school is out and Taylor and Cameron are having a blast with their "new" neighbors (Aunt DeeDee, Uncle Alan, Parker and Olivia). The kids spend the day playing at DeeDee's or Grandma's house. Makes for a much easier time for me....daycare/babysitters were kickin my butt in the past (money).

Brad is out of jail. He has a "steady" job working at Whataburger. I really don't care what he does as long as he helps out with the kids. I have received 4 child support payments. Gosh, that really helps (considering he is $35K behind!) Their not much, but the Taylor and Cameron are able to do a few day camps with the local 4-H group because of the payments he has sent.

Megan now has her drivers permit. How exciting and nervous at the same time!

Sidney is amazing... She get prettier and prettier everytime I see her. Her looks have changed so much and she is basically as tall as Jon and I (that isn't really all that hard to do). She is taller than Megan for sure.

Cameron is all boy, geez boys can be mean! His idea of playing with Taylor is to hit her. We try to explain to Cameron that is Taylor is beggin him to stop and crying that it isnt playing and she isn't having fun! He is a really good kids, just gets delirious on occasion!!!!

Taylor, my sweet baby girl Taylor.... All mouth... Man, if she could just learn to keep it shut!!!! She is also turning out to be beautiful (I didn't doubt that for a minute)! Taylor is getting so big/tall. Wish I had her figure when was that age. All bones and muscle. I swear I feed her!

I recently had a couple of surgeries/procedures. All is well, healing great. Jon of course is as comical as ever. He is so the love of my life!!! Pretty boring and to the point, not much time, lunch is almost over.

I will really try to keep up better, time just seems to slip by without me even realizing!!!!!!

BASKETBALL IS OVER!!!! LIFE IS CRAZY!!!

I KNOW THAT IT HAS BEEN A WHILE SINCE I HAVE BLOG'D.... I HAVE BEEN SOOOO BUSY. LIFE IS GETTING EVEN MORE HECTIC. I HAVE PICKED UP A SIDE JOB CLEANING HOUSE(S). I STILL HAVE MY FULL TIME, MONDAY-FRIDAY 8-5 JOB AND THEN I BEGAN CLEANING HOUSES ON THE WEEKEND FOR A FEW EXTRA BUCKS. I STARTED WITH ONE AND NOW HAVE THREE TOTAL. I AM ALSO DOING SOME BOOKEEPING TYPE WORK FOR SOMEONE ON THE SIDE AS WELL. SO LIFE IS CRAZY!!! BASKETBALL HAS ENDED AND I CAN'T BE HAPPIER. SHHHH, DON'T TELL TAYLOR I SAID THAT! HER TEAM DID NOT MAKE IT TO NATIONAL TOURNAMENT. I AM HAPPY ABOUT THAT BECAUSE IT IS COSTLY, OUT OF SCHOOL AND WORK FOR ABOUT A WEEK AND HAVE TO PAY FOR A HOTEL FOR ABOUT A WEEK. LIFE IS TOUGH ENOUGH WITHOUT ALL THAT EXPENSE. BRAD (MY EX-HUSBAND, TAYLOR AND CAMERONS BIOLOGICAL FATHER) GETS OUT OF JAIL ON MONDAY, 3/26/07. I AM SURE MY LIFE IS GOING TO BE EVEN MORE INSANE THAN IT ALREADY IS. MY KIDS HAVE TOLD ME THAT BRAD HAS TALKED ABOUT MOVING DOWN HERE....RIGHT BESIDE ME!!!! THAT OUGHT TO BE FUN!!!! GLAD I HAVE MY FENCE UP! WELL, ENOUGH JABBERING FOR ONE DAY. I WILL TRY TO KEEP THIS BLOG CURRENT, BUT LIFE AS WE NO IT NEVER STOPS SO I MUST JOIN IN THE CHAOS AND TRY TO BLEND IN. HAVE A GREAT ONE EVERYONE!!!!
